So you've spent time and money getting your website, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Yell, etc. sorted out and regularly adding content. How do you know how well it's all working, or if things could be tweaked/improved to work better?
One way is to spend some time using the free and very detailed information you can get when you've installed Google Analytics.
Google Analytics can tell you where your site visitors are located (geographically), which search term they entered to find you, which website had a link to your site that they clicked. It also lets you know how many pages they looked at when visiting your site, how long they spent on each page, where they entered and left your site. All this information and much, much more can help you tweak and improve your content/site layout, advertising, etc.
